On 2 June 2007, at app, 10:40, unknown armed men intercepted the car of Abdullah Abu Samhadana, a retired brigadier general, at al Qirim junction in Salah Ad Din road, in eastern Jabalia. The armed men forced Abu Samhadana andhis daughter out of the car, and then kidnapped his driver Majdi Al Abd Ahmed Abd Rabbu, 35.Relatives of Majdi Al AbdAhmed Abd Rabbu blocked Salah Ad Din road and other roads of eastern Jabalia in response to the Kidnapping, and demanded his immediate release. In response to this, a fight broke out between Abd Rabbu's relatives and others near Al Joron square.Mohammed Rabi' Abdullah Abd Rabbu, 27, was killed in the fighting. The kidnapped man was released the same day after being tortured.
