At approximately 11pm on Thursday 9 August 2007, gunmen from Al Qssam Brigades detained 17 members of Fateh movement in the Abasan Al Jaddida area of Khan Younis town. A few hours later, only eight of the arrested were released, some of whom were subjected to torture. Further, at approximately 7pm, on Friday 10 August 2007, gunmen from Al Qssam Brigades broke into Fateh bureau in eastern Abasan Al Jaddida, and seized all its equipment and documents.
