am on 27 October 2007, an ambiguous explosion occurred in the two-story house of Nawaf Abu Sabet which is located about 600 meters from the Israeli military post of Kisufim, northeast Khan Younis town.
The explosion resulted in severe damages to the house and the killing of Samah Sabet19, her friend 17-year-old Khitam Yousif As-Smeiri, and 3-year-old Khitam's nephew, Bara'a.
The adjacent house of Diab Abd Rabbu Abu Sabet was damaged, and his 26-year-old wife Mariyam Abu Sabet and his15-month-old child, Nasir Allah were injured by shrapnel wounds to different parts of their bodies.
3-year-old Yousif and 4-year-old Nidal Juma'a Abu Sabet were also injured as they were playing close to the house.
