At app. 8am, on 25/2/2008, medical crews found the body of Medhat Ayyash Awaad, 21. In the eastern part of Rafah Crossing, he was shot with a live bullet to the chest and head. A woman living in the area informed the medical crews about the existence of an injured person near her home at app. 11:45pm the night before. However,the medical team could not reach the place because of heavy firing from IOF military vehicles, which entered the area at app. 1:00am that morning. The IOF withdrew from the area at app. 8:00pm later that day. They arrested 40 Palestinians and took them to an unknown destination. Three people were injured during the incursion, including one child and one woman.
