1am on the 26th of April 2008, a pedestrian IOF penetrated into agricultural lands, northwest Beit Lahia, under jet cover.
They occupied houses and opened fire at any one who moved in the area.
The pedestrian force, accompanied by military vehicles, besieged the house of Tal'at Ma'rouf , which is located in northwest Beit Lahia, and opened fire intensely on it, injuring 15-year-old Mariam Mar'ouf.
They broke into the house and detained Ma'rouf and two of his nephews, and then pulled out.
Ambulances were allowed to access the injured child three hours later; however, she died of her wounds at Kamal Odwan Hospital.

3am on the same day, IOF military vehicles moved towards agricultural lands in the outskirts of northwest Beit Lahia, and stationed themselves in the area, and then opened fire towards civilian houses.
The IOF withdrew from the area at app.
7am that day.
