At app. 6am, on 28 April 2008, a pedestrian IOF, backed by 20 military vehicles, penetrated the vicinity of Erez Crossing, under drone cover, and stationed themselves at the end of As Sultan Abd Al Hamid, Al Shanti, and Sakanet Al Ghazalat streets, in southwest Beit Hanoun as well as Talet Al Hawoz and Qobet Om An Nasser areas, in northern An Nada towers. The IOF took combative positions and opened fire towards civilian homes in Ezbet Beit Hanoun and As Seka and As Sultan Streets, in western Beit Hanoun. The incursion is still ongoing and sounds of explosions are heard from time to time.
