At app. 5:30 pm, on 18/5/2008, 28-year-old Abd Al Hadi As Sofi was killed. According to Palestinian police announcements, the police opened fire at him when he was trying to escape from a police jeep. It is noteworthy that on 18/5/2008, after the noon prayer, As Sofi left his family home in Al Shouka village. According to what his brother reported, they received a phone call later telling them that Abd Al Hadi was injured. He was taken to Abu Yossef An Najjar Hospital in Rafah for treatment. When his relatives arrived at the hospital, they were notified he had passed away.
