A special forces unit of the Israeli Occupying Forces (IOF) arrested two persons at around 16:00 on Friday, 26 September 2008. The persons are Anis Subhi Abu Libda, 21, and Mahmoud Fayyez Annajar, 23, of Khan Younis district. A special unit infiltrated on foot into the Alwad area to the east of al-Qarara. They lied in ambush 100 meters away from the border line. The two Palestinians were surprised by gunfire when they reached the area. They were forced to stop by the Israel unit before were led inside the border line.
