Police Disperse Wedding Party in Nuseirat Camp

A police force of the dismissed government arrived to the house of Muhammad Hassan Yassin, 56, located in the Nuseirat refugee camp, on Wednesday, 15 October 2008, at around 7:30pm, where a wedding party of his son, Muhammad, 24, was organized.
The police ordered the party owner to remove all posters and yellow flags referring to Fateh.
According to the groom's brother, they immediately removed the posters and flags after the police ordered them to do so.
Later the police force returned once again and attacked them.
They dispersed the wedding participants with clubs and batons.
Young men fled to nearby allies and on the roof of a house.
The roof collapsed and 5 young men were injured.
Police arrested one of them and released him later.
They forced the groom's father to sign a paper binding him not to do harm to any of the police members.
At least ten young men were injured in the incident.
