On Monday, 10 November 2008, at around 15:30, police raided a kindergarten and daycare that belong to the Union of Palestinian Woman's Committees (UPWC) of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in Rafah.
The force senior officer spoke with Samira Abdelaleem, an official of the UPWC.
He said the police was there because they were informed of an ongoing meeting and a number of Fateh gunmen in the place.
Ms.
Abdelaleem answered that there was no gunmen in the place.
According to Ms.
Abdelaleem, the police force entered and searched the place.
The police continued searching the kindergarten despite that half an hour earlier, Dr.
Azmi Abu Mour, a Rafah municipality member, visited the place and made sure there was no meeting.
He called Mr.
Issa Annashar, Head of Rafah Municipality, to confirm there was no meeting or gunmen in the place.
