In an unprecedented, highly dangerous event, the belligerent Israeli Occupation Forces have implemented an extra-judicial killing policy in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
Today 9/11/2000 at about 12:35 p.
m.
(10:35 GMT), an Israeli assault helicopter has fired 4 missiles at a civilian car in Beit Sahour (West Bank).
As a result, Husein Mohammad Salim Ebaiyat, a 37 year old Palestinian resident of Atta’amreh/ Bethlehem was killed in the incident.
4 other Palestinians who were inside the car have been seriously injured.
The shelling also resulted in killing 2 Palestinian women who were near the location of the incident.
These were Rahmah Rasheed Ishaibat (50 years old) and Azizah Mahmoud Tannoun (52 years old).
The car has been totally destroyed as a result of the shelling.
The Israelis have confessed that they killed Husein because of his position as a field civilian leader in the Fath “movement”.
This dangerous incident is an escalation of the extra-judicial killing Israeli policy.
It is a highly dangerous war crime that necessitates immediate chase of those who have committed it and ordered it to be committed.
In the context of the current Israeli policy aiming at killing the highest possible number among the Palestinians, the belligerent Israeli Occupation Forces have opened fire at unarmed Palestinians today 9/11/2000.
As a result, Mohammad Kamil Shurrab, a 17 year-old resident of KhanYounis has been killed after being shot in the heart.
Today, the belligerent Israeli Occupation Forces have bulldozed 900 Donums of land in the area located between Rafah land passage and Addhainiah near Rafah/ Gaza Strip.
This land is owned by Hisham Mohammad salih Abu Shoushah, Ayoub Abd Rabbuh Mohammad Arrmelat, and Akram Mohammad Eiadah Abu Jaradah.
They also changed a house owned by Zaki saleem Suleiman Abu Jarad to a military base, and damaged properties belonging to Saleem Suleiman Abu Jarad and Hisham Mohammad salih Abu Shoushah.
In the light of the current situation, AL-MEZAN Center for Human Rights stresses again that the current Israeli aggression against the Palestinian civilians in the West bank and Gaza Strip is absolutely unjustified and considers it a reflection of the continued indifference and quietness of the international community in regard to what is happening in the Occupied Territories.
This incident shows more than any earlier time the need for providing protection for the unarmed Palestinian civilians, a legal international obligation.
AL-MEZAN requests the international community to provide protection for the Palestinian civilians.
It also requests the international community to chase the Israeli war criminals and bring them before court.
