The massacre continues for the 18th consecutive day: The belligerent Israeli Occupation Forces kill at least 98 Palestinians and injure more than 4 thousand others

For the 18th consecutive day, the belligerent Israeli Occupation Forces continue committing systematic aggressive attacks against the Palestinian civilians and their properties.
Till now, They have killed 98 Palestinians and injured more than 4000 others.
The Israeli Forces continued to use lethal and excessive force against the Palestinian civilians.
Following is a list of names of Palestinian civilians killed by the Israelis during the last few days: Muaiad Osama E’id Al-Jawarish; 16/10, 13 years, A’idah- Beit Lahm, Head injury bylive ammunition.
Injured on 15/10.
Musbah Abd AlKarim Abu A’taiq; 15/10, 29 years, Beit- Lahia, Head injury by live ammunition.
Mohammad Hasan Talab Al-Dakhil; 17/10, 26 years, Nablus, Chest injury by live ammunition on 2/10.
Farid Mousa Nasasrah; 17/10, 28 years, Beit-Fourik- Nablus, Shot by a settler while collecting olives.
A live bullet entered his left loin and exited from the left one.
Nabil sa’d Khatir; 17/10, 42 years, Gaza, Heart injury by live ammunition.
It is worth mentioning that the martyr, Musbah Abu A’taiq, was killed while controlling the traffic at Rafah passage connecting Egypt with Palestine/ Gaza Strip.
On 15/10/2000 the passage has been closed by the Israelis who, at the same time, dismissed its Palestinian employees.
The passage is still closed till now.
Only 8 Palestinian employees were allowed to renter the passage on 17/10/2000 in order to arrange the passage of ambulances carrying injured Palestinian civilians to Al-Arish airport in Egypt.
Yesterday, 17/10/2000, 135 Palestinians were wounded in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
87 Civilians, the majority of whom were on their way to work in the Israeli industrial area of Erez, were injured at Beit- Hanoun (Erez) passage north to Gaza.
30 other Palestinians were injured in Khan- Younis and Rafah.
In the West Bank, 9 Palestinians were injured in Hebron, 3 in Nablus, and 15 in Beit- Lahm.
In Rafah, the Israeli Forces used (LAU) anti-tank missiles as well as machineguns to attack houses located along the Egypt- Palestine borderline.
As a result of that, 4 Palestinian civilians were injured and a house owned by Mohammad Jamil Qishtah was damaged.
Since this mourning, 18/10/2000 the Israeli Occupation Forces have been firing live ammunition, including (Dum-Dum) bullets, at Palestinian residents near Beit-Hanoun (Erez) passage in the northern region of Gaza Strip, and by the Jewish settlement, Kfar Darom, in the middle region of the Strip.
As a result, 45 Palestinian civilians have been injured.
Among the injured are Ismail Mohammad Abu-Jaiab (13 years old) injured by Kfar Darom Jewish settlement, and Ahmad Abd-Al-Hai Husein Al-Majaideh (18 years old) injured by Al-Tuffah junction near Khan Younis.
In addition to this, the Israelis have blocked the highway connecting the northern half of Gaza Strip with the southern one.
In the same context, the Israelis have reinforced the siege imposed upon the cities and other population centers in the West Bank, especially Jerusalem.
AL-MEZAN Center for Human Rights ascertains what has been mentioned in its previous releases that the international community is fully responsible for putting an end to the massacres as well as bringing those who committed them; or ordered them to be committed, before trial.
AL-MEZAN Center also requests the international community to actively interfere to provide protection for the Palestinian civilians.
