Yesterday, 8 September 2002, the Israeli occupation forces entered the Palestinian Authority controlled areas in Al Buriej and Al Nuseirat refugee camps, central Gaza Strip, destroying one home and a workshop.
Nine Palestinians were injured in the incursion.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli tanks had been amassing near the settlement of Nitzarim since the evening of 8 September and that they invaded the Middle District from three directions at 11:45 P.
M.
They took control of the entrances of the towns of Deir Al-Balah and  Al Zahraa.
The major part of the force came from Nitzarim settlement and moved towards the refugee camps of Al Bureij and Al Nuseirat.
The troops’ incursion was accompanied by intensive fire cover.
It was reported that the main electricity transformer in Deir Al Balah was damaged, causing cutting off electricity in the town.
Moreover, the Israeli forces destroyed a four-story house with explosives and bulldozed two workshops owned by Mahmud Abu Jalaleh and Abdul Qadir Abu Hilu.
The incursion ended at around 2:30 A.
M.
Monday 9 September.
Nine people were injured due to the shooting and explosions.
At approximately 10:30 P.
M.
Sunday 8 September these forces killed two people near al-Fukhari area on the green line in Khan Yunis; both died from a tank shell.
The corpses of the two persons were handed to Palestinians and identified as Atiya al-Kashif and Jamal Abu Shaluf, both from Rafah.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights is gravely concerned with the daily Israeli incursions in the Palestinian territories and the crimes being perpetrated during them.
The Center calls upon the international community to intervene and put an end to the continued Israeli aggression against Palestinian civilians and their property in the OPTs.
It is the international community’s obligation to bring the Israelis who ordered and perpetrated such crimes to justice.
