Al Mezan Center for Human Rights warns the Israeli delusion in the claims of a ceasefire.
All the Israeli criminal acts during the period since the announcement of a ceasefire falsify this claim.
From the first moments of the Israeli unilateral ceasefire claim on Wednesday 23/5/2001, Al Mezan Center assured that the claim is purely false according to the actual facts.
In the occupied Gaza Strip the Israeli forces have committed a large number of violations that can be considered as genocide and war crimes.
The Center documented the Israeli crimes:
The use of force to kill on purpose.
This led to the killing of ten Palestinians by Israeli bullets.
The excessive use of force causing injury to 166 Palestinians.
There has been an increasing use of tanks and other weapons including nail bombs.
Agricultural land demolition.
The total demolished land is eighty dunams.
Furthermore, the landowners are still prevented from approaching their land.
Targeting civilians' houses with shelling and destruction.
The total number of bombed and destroyed houses is forty-six.
The seize of more Palestinian land owned by civilians for settling purposes.
Annexing thirty dunams of al-Jafarawy property in Dir al-Balah is going on during the writing of this report.
Building more watchtowers along the Green Line and surrounding Gaza Strip with missile bases and military mobilization especially in the Nahal Oz area.
Digging is also going on along the borderline between Egypt and the PNA area.
Continuing the siege of the Palestinian territories and the segmentation of Palestinian towns and villages especially on Salah ad-Din road in the Gaza Strip which is closed almost all the time.
Preventing movement between Gaza and the West Bank and the PNA area to the whole world.
According to all this, Al Mezan Center sees that the frequent ceasefire claims by Israeli leaders as purely lies that aim to delude the international community and the international public opinion.
The Center looks with jeopardy to the Israeli continuing crimes in the Palestinian territories and warns of the possibility of evaporating intentions, which emerge from the Israeli enhancements.
The Center demands the international community, particularly the state parties which signed the Fourth Geneva Convention, to hold an emergency conference to implement their legal obligations toward the Palestinian civilians in the occupied territories and to protect them.
