The Israeli forces continue their attacks against Palestinian civilians and property during this year.
The Israeli new escalation came the last day of the first year of the Intifada’s, on which Palestinians organized several demonstrations and peaceful marches inside their towns.
Palestinians have been attacked with teargas since the morning of 29/9/2001 till now.
Clashes still continue in several areas.
In Dair al-Balah, Israeli soldiers opened fire on a group of school students and killed Khalil Yusif Fayad, eighteen years old.
Fayad was shot in the head, and fifty-two other persons were wounded there.
In Bait Hanun, near Erez industrial zone, another thirty-three young people were wounded, fourteen of them were suffocated because of teargas.
In addition, ten persons were wounded near al-Muntar passage, south of Gaza City and twelve others near ash-Shuhada crossing south of Gaza City.
Moreover, Ahmad Muhammad Awaja, twenty-one years old from Rafah died today due to an injury in his head on 27/9/2001.
Awaja has been in the intensive care unit in hospital in a critical situation.

2001, one of the tanks of the occupation forces shot a shell at five youths on the borderline area, in front of al-Brazil Neighbourhood in Rafah while they were standing next to an-Nur Mosque.
This led to the immediate death of three of them and the wounding of two others.
The rescue operation lasted three hours because of the heavy firing from the occupation forces in the area.
The dead are: Shadi Jad Sulaiman Lafi, 20 years-old, form Khan Yunis.

After this, youths in Rafah attacked some of the security offices belonging to the PA in the city.
They threw stones and broke the doors and entered breaking the furniture an lighting fire to some of them.
Among them are: General Inteligence Offices, the Police, Preventive Security forces, Military Intelligence offices and Presidential Security.
This morning the PA has strengthened its presence in Rafah.
It has repelaced some of the workers in the General Intelligence services with security, protective and executive forces from outside the area.
Their number is estimated at 160.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condems the attacks against the Palestinian offices and associations espcially during a time when the Palestinians are suffering from systematic perpetration of crimes by the occupation forces.
It renews its demand to the international community to abide by its responsibilities to afford international effective and immediate protection to stop the crimes committed by the Israeli forces in the Palestinian territories.
