![]() Weekly Statistical Report
In the context of Al Mezan's tireless work to protect human rights and promote respect in the occupied Palestinian territories (OPT), and in the Gaza Strip in particular, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights decided to issue a weekly statistical report showing the number of victims for each reporting period. Al Mezan also decided to issue this report due to the increasing demand by local and international institutions for statistics that reflect the extent of human rights violations and the rate at which it occurs in the OPT. The report addresses the violations and crimes committed by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) and those that occurred as a result of internal hostilities. It reports those victims who fall as a direct cause of the current state of insecurity and the absence of rule of law in the Gaza Strip, as classified by the Center. The report also highlights the situation at the crossings, which connect the Gaza Strip with the West Bank and Israel, and the Rafah Crossing, which is the only outlet the Strip has to the outside world. It is important to note that the report only mentions statistics and numbers. The Center leaves the door open to all who wish to learn the details of the violations by contacting Al Mezan via e-mail (contact us) or telephone (972-(0)8-2820447), or contacting Mr. Samir Zaqut, Al Mezan's Coordinator for the Fieldwork Unit. Mr. Zaqut can be reached at (0599) 461681 or (057) 7835694, or at samir@mezan.org.
