![]() Capacity Building
Al Mezan targets all levels of society
including the marginalized groups (women, children, the elderly,
the disabled, the unemployed) through a series of thoughtfully focused
public lectures and seminars, training sessions, and open debate
and consensus-building forums. It provides free legal aid and advice
for all members of the community, individually and collectively.
The Center aims to equip Palestinian citizens with the necessary
knowledge and tools to be empowered and defend their rights, and
to contribute to the efforts to build a Palestinian democracy. Al
Mezan also works with numerous NGOs and international rights organizations
in order to encourage the broadest possible cooperation both within
and outside of the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT).
The pages in this section describe the activities the Center implements in the domain of developing the community capacity through its different units. These activities include training sessions, workshops, a legal training programme, a "Pass the Word" program and a "Face the Public" program. •Written
