At approximately 5:15 p.m. on Friday, 4 August 2023, the security forces of the Gaza Ministry of Interior contacted two members of Palestine TV: correspondent Fouad Kamal Jarada, 39, and photographer Muammar Mohammed Abu Tabikh, 43, preventing them from producing news reports covering the peaceful protests aimed at advocating for improved living conditions in Gaza.
