At 2pm on Tuesday, 24 April 2018, Israeli forces based in monitoring sites opened fire and launched tear-gas grenades at hundreds of children and youth joining the “Great Return March” demonstration held to the east of Al Shuhada cemetery in eastern Jabalia refugee camp in North Gaza governorate. Two demonstrators were injured, both by live fire in the lower parts of their body. Doctors at the Indonesia Hospital assessed both casualties to be moderate. Demonstrators who suffered from tear gas inhalation received the necessary treatment by field-based medical teams. Israeli shooting continued until the evening on the same day.
