At approximately 4:00 pm on Thursday, 28 May 2015, medical sources at Al Wafa Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation announced that, Sa’eed Abdul Majid Ali An-Nadi, 54, died from wounds he had sustained on 28 July 2014. He sustained wounds in his head and went into a coma which caused cerebral palsy.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, Sa’eed sustained shrapnel wound in his head during the Israeli artillery shelling at his residence place in Jabaliya in North Gaza district. As a result of shelling, one of his relatives, Fayza Ahmed Abdul Fattah An-Nadi, 59, died, and 5 others among them 3 children were injured.
In her affidavit to Al Mezan, his wife stated that her husband sustained shrapnel wound in his head and was carried to Al Awda Hospital, then he and his relative were referred to Al Shifa due to their critical health condition. On the next day, Fayza died, while Sa’eed was referred to An-Najah hospital in Nablus on 2 August 2014, where he went into a coma and never regained his consciousness. After 55 days of his treatment at the hospital he was referred to Al Wafaa hospital in Gaza, and died there. He’s a father of 12 children, and worked as a butcher.
