IOF Attack north of Beit Lahyia; kill one and Injure another

At app. 12:15pm on Monday 1 March 2010, Israeli occupation tanks, usually positioned inside the orthern separation fence, launched four flechette rockets on Burat Abu Samra area, north Biet Hanoun. As a result, Mohammed Ashraf Ghabin,20, was killed and another person was injured. According to medical sources at Kamal Odwan Hospital, his injures are described as moderate. Both of them were about 700 meters away from the separation fence, which. hindered the arrival of ambulances to reach the area.

At app. 1:15pm on the same day, four Israeli tanks and bulldozers penetrated the area under heavy fire. At app. 3:15pm, the Palestinian ambulances tried to reach the area to collect the body of Ghabin but couldn’t due to the heavy fire. At app. 4pm, the IOF tanks withdrew to a position of about 400 meters away from the  separation fence. This allowed the Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance to collect the body after coordinating with the Israeli side. The dead body was admitted to Kamal Odwan Hospital where doctors certified him  dead. The Israeli occupation forces were still in the area at the time of publishing this piece of news.
