Five Palestinians Injured in a Tunnel Collapse in Rafah
At app. 3am on Saturday 27 February 2010, civil defense teams rescued:
· Shadi Awad Al Sha'ai, 18, from Rafah;
· Alaa Mohammed Ramadan Abu Bnat,39;
· Abdullah Mohammed Ramadan Abu Bnat, 32;
· Mohammed Azam Al Masri,25;and
· Majd Waleed Subuh,22. (all of them are from Mashrou Biet Lahyia in North Gaza District)
They were injured when the tunnel they were working in collapsed. The tunnel is under As-Salam neighborhood south of Rafah. According to medical sources at Abu Yousif An-Najar, their injures are described as moderate.
